Search

Find the space that's right for you by entering your destination, dates and number of guests on the Vacedo homepage or search page.

Filters

Use the filters on the top of the search results page to narrow your search. Filter by property type, bedrooms, price, and number of guests.

Map Search

Browse the results by location using the map view. Select map view by clicking the map button to the right of the search box. Check the box 'Redo search in map' to update the search results when you move the map.

Use all the tools at your disposal to find your perfect listing and hosts. Reviews, maps and more help you evaluate listings. Response rates, verifications, and host profiles help you get a feel which hosts are right for you.

 

 

Contact

Message hosts after you send them an enquiry by clicking the 'Send Inquiry' button. Ask any questions you might have. Your personal contact info is kept private until after your reservation has been made to protect your privacy and keep you safe.

Profiles

It's a good idea to fill out your profile before you start contacting hosts as many hosts prefer to learn about potential guests. The fastest way to fill out your profile is to connect your Facebook account. You can also edit your profile by clicking the down arrow next to your name all the way at the top of the screen, selecting Profile, and clicking on Edit Profile. Some hosts require complete profiles, so if you haven't done so already you might get asked to upload a photo, add a description, or more when you try to message them.

Communicating

Vacedo keeps direct contact information private until after a reservation is accepted to protect everyone's security and privacy. But we make it easy for hosts and guests to contact each other through our messaging system.

 

 

Book

Click the red 'Send Inquiry' button on a listing to send the host a formal reservation request. The host will then have 24 hours to respond. (If the host does not respond in that time, the Inquiry expires.)

Hosts have 24 hours to pre-approve or decline a reservation request or it will expire.
When a host pre-approves your inquiry, you will be notified by email. You will be asked to log in to your Vacedo account in which you will find a confirmation availability message for the specific listing you expressed an interest via enquiry. Your reservation is not final until your complete the payment for your reservation. By clicking the button «Payment»,  you'll be asked for your payment information. You have 24 hours to proceed with the booking payment. (If you don't respond in that time, the booking expires.)

After you complete the booking payment you will receive a confirmation email, a receipt, an itinerary, and the direct contact information of your host, including the exact address of the listing. You can always access all of this information by going to "Confirmed bookings" within on the left side of your dashboard.

Once you want to check your confirmed trips, you should visit your "Your Trips". Where that can be found? Simply click on your name, (right up side at the home page of Vacedo) and then click on the tab "My trips". Once done that, you will find everything you need. The confirmation of the enquiry, the check in and check out details, the overview of the price, plus the method of payment.

You can find the "Payment Policy" that applies to every listing, at the listing page. Note that every accommodation has different payment policy so always take the time to read the policy of the accommodation you are interested to book.

Vacedo will hold on to your money until 24 hours after your check in date, giving you an opportunity to see your accommodations and make sure they're up to scratch. Please note that with a small number of trusted professional Hosts and agencies payment may be transferred to the Host prior to the Guest's arrival day. However in the unlikely event a Guest is not completely satisfied with one of these properties, our Customer Care team will still take all the appropriate action on their behalf.

Security Deposits and extra fees

Hosts have the option to add a security deposit to their listings to cover things like wine stains and broken dishes or additional payments such as cleaning fees. This will generally be payable locally on check-in. Additional costs are matter between the host and the guest. Extra fees such us a security deposit and cleaning fee may be paid at check-in.

If a Host requests advance payment of additional fees by bank transfer and you are unsure about this (for example because the Property has no reviews yet), feel free to contact us first.

 

 

Travel

Your vacation is so close you can almost taste it! But well before you hit the ground, contact your host to confirm arrival times and key exchanges. You can always find all the details of your stay, including host contact information, under 'My Trips'.

Arrivals

After your reservation is accepted, we'll provide you with the direct contact information for your host, including the exact address of the listing. Before you leave for your trip, it's important to contact your host and confirm your arrival time and coordinate the key exchange. Contact details can be accessed under 'My Trips' in the dashboard.

Alter or Cancel

You can alter or cancel trips within your 'My Trips' dashboard. You and your host can make adjusts to your reservations, like extensions or additional guests, if you both agree to them. You may cancel your reservation at anytime and Vacedo will uphold the cancellation policy for your reservation.

Review

After your stay, don't forget to leave a review! Reviews are the backbone of Vacedo. You can leave public reviews and provide private feedback to your hosts. After your check out date you'll receive an email and a dashboard notification requesting a review.
